Karen Hewlett, BA (Sociology and Health Science), RMT, CPMT
Karen graduated as a Registered Massage Therapist from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage in 1995. She was a member of the Ontario Field Hockey Team; a Member of the Canadian Field Hockey Team (World Cup Silver Medalists) and in 1984 represented Canada at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Karen played Field Hockey at an elite level for about 20 years.
She specializes in myofascial work trained in NISA, has recently done courses in Massage and Cancer, and is a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT).
Karen has training in Hospice work and has been very involved volunteering at SickKids Hospital in Oncology and the Palliative Department. Karen has a strong interest in Holistic Healing and the connection of Body-Mind-Spirit and has done a lot of work in the area of Spiritual Healing. In her free time she’s enjoying a great book, a movie, swimming, dancing, walking or relaxing.
Ron Mulesa | Massage Therapists, Toronto
RMT, B.PE, C.P.T.N - Ron graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy after completing a degree in Athletic Training and Conditioning from the University of Alberta. He was a therapist in the Canadian Soccer League with the Edmonton Brickmen and later with the Hamilton Steelers. Ron was the team therapist with the Calgary Stampeders of the C.F.L. He covered several Ontario Gymnastic events, was the therapist at the C.I.A.U. championships and at the Grey Cup. Ron is a certified personal trainer and holds N.C.C.P. coaching levels in tennis and hockey. Presently, he is also the company therapist with the National Ballet of Canada.
Stacy Burns | Massage Therapists, Brampton
Stacey graduated from York University in 1997 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Kinesiology. She attended Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic, attained her diploma in Massage Therapy and became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in 2000. She returned as an instructor at Sutherland-Chan in 2003 as well as continuing to work in a medical practice in Toronto.
Stacey has volunteer experience at The Sports Medicine Specialists in Toronto, Women’s College Hospital, Lyndhurst Hospital and The National Ballet of Canada. She has also worked with athletes at varying levels and at various sporting events including the Canadian International Marathon, the National Diving Championships and the Provincial Swimming Championships. Her medical experience includes work with seniors, perinatal clients and individuals with neurological injuries such as spinal cord injuries.
Stacey is a member with The Canadian Sports Massage Therapy Association and The Ontario Massage Therapy Association. She has taken post-graduate courses in the fundamental of Sport Massage, Pre and Post Event Massage, Strain-Counterstrain and Muscle Energy techniques. Stacey also holds her diploma in classical ballet technique and has taught for the last 10 years.
Angela Hunt | Massage Therapists, Brampton
Angela is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Athletic Therapist and Reflexologist. Her education consists of a B.A. at Brock University in 1997; Massage Therapy Diploma at Canadian Therapeutic College in 2002. She has completed a Sports Injury Management program at Sheridan College in 1994 and a course on Soft Tissue Release. Angela is a member of the Canadian Massage Therapy of Ontario (CMTO), Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA) and Ontario Athletic Therapy Association (OATA). She has been employed with sports clinics and organizations including the Brampton Rugby Team.
