Paul Papoutsakis | Athletic Therapist, Toronto
Paul graduated from UBC with his degree in Human Kinetics and then completed his Diploma in Sports Injury Management at Sheridan College. He is a Certified Athletic Therapist and also holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture from the Open University of Complementary Medicine in Sri Lanka. He has worked six years at the Sports Medicine Specialists and now focuses on Isokinetics, Custom Bracing, Acupuncture and Athletic Therapy treatments. Paul is the Company Athletic Therapist with the National Ballet of Canada and in his spare time, he is the Club Therapist with the Balmy Beach Rugby Football Club of the Senior Men’s ORU. He also sits as a Board of Director with the Ontario Athletic Therapist Association as well as a member of the Education Committee of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association.
Kelly Parr | Athletic Therapist, Toronto
Kelly has been an Athletic Therapist since 1988. She has taken many post graduate courses which have enhanced her clinical skills. Kelly has been the therapist for the following teams: Federation Cup Tennis, Provincial Women’s Rugby, U18 Girl’s National Basketball, NWHLA Beatrice Aeros and a member of the 2004 Canadian Paralympic Medical team in Athens, Greece. She is also a Past- President of the Ontario Athletic Therapist Association and past- Ombudsperson of the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association.
Currently, she is the National Team therapist for Wheelchair Tennis and is an International Classifier for Wheelchair Tennis with the International Tennis Federation. She is also a part-time Faculty Member at York University in the Kinesiology department. Kelly continues to play competitive volleyball, is an avid skier and enjoys golf and mountain biking.
